Regular Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteers make a world of difference and help us to keep the Kings County Museum open! From one time events to ongoing projects, here are some of the ways you can help out at the Kings County Museum:

Visitor Services, Tours, and Genealogy

Do you like working with people, giving tours, or doing genealogy research? Would you like to be a friendly face at the Museum? Volunteering to help guests at the Museum is rewarding volunteer work that is critical to our visitor services.

Collections

Do you like researching, cataloguing, photographing, and working with historic objects? Collection work (the care for the artifacts in the Museum’s collection) is an important ongoing project. Not sure if you have the skill to help out? Just ask us – we can set you up with projects that you’re comfortable with and provide training as needed.
