Kings Historical Society’s Monthly Meeting plus Aunt Toni’s Diary: Author reading and discussion about the Nova Scotia Sanatorium. “From the time of its opening in 1904 until its closing in 1977, the Nova Scotia Sanatorium was a unique and valuable treatment institution for those suffering from the dreaded disease, tuberculosis. Referred to in earlier times as ‘galloping consumption,’ it was usually fatal.” Marilyn Jones Aunt Toni’s Diary is an account of one woman’s time at ‘The San.’

The Kings Historical Society is hosting a classic car show in Centre Square in Kentville. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. car show from 10-2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 9. Open to all vintage and classic cars, prizes presented for Best in Show, People's Choice and the top 10 vehicles chosen by drivers. This fundraiser will benefit the Kings County Museum.

Spooky night at the Museum
