On June 19, 2014 conservator and KHS president, Kelly Bourassa, opened a time capsule recovered from the recently-demolished Kings County Academy. The contents appeared to have survived their 85 year interment but Kelly deemed it wiser to resist the temptation to immediately extract everything from the box.
