I will tell you why I decided to write a book about Brooklyn Corner. When I moved here in July of 1973, I knew nothing about the area. I was an army brat who lived in many different parts of New Brunswick for most of my childhood. My mother was from New Ross where her ancesters had lived on the same farm for five generations. My father was from Lower Vaughans, Hants County where his ancestors had lived for five generations operating sawmills. So, you see I was a bit uprooted. Here I was in Brooklyn Corner, what I now consider just a kid……..
