And that’s wrap! If you haven’t yet seen the Brush With Nature exhibition, time is running out.
The paint isn’t even dry on a few of the paintings, and we are sad to say the show is drawing to a close on Aug. 31.
Everyone here at the Kings County Museum is thrilled with this beautiful exhibition that is a celebration of the everyday wonders in Kings County. The exhibit is also a testament to the vision and talent of the artists who participated in the challenge earlier this month.
The works are diverse—oil, acrylic, watercolour and pen and ink– and rediscover the picturesque nooks and crannies of Kings County. As our first en plein air festival, Brush With Nature (and the Kings County Museum), draws to a close, we are proud to say that both experienced and upcoming artists were recognized with awards this year.

Special thanks to our judges Holly Carr (in the Sponsor’s Choice category) and Alan Bateman (in Artist’s Choice long brush) for helping us to make the tough decisions. Also, big thanks to the folks at Tides Contemporary Gallery for all your assistance in arranging the wonderful exhibition.
And more big thanks to the tireless and dedicated support of Anne and Edward Wedler; and Plein Air Artists Annapolis County, we would not have done this without your enthusiasm.
