Glenn is a seventh generation farmer descended from Joshua and Mary Ells, New England Planters, who settled in Lower Canard , Nova Scotia in 1760. The editor of the Kentville Advertiser phoned Glenn in 1985 and asked if he would write a weekly column dealing with farm news and views. Glenn replied saying that he would try it and see if they both thought it was worth continuing. The trial period lasted 29 years . This book contains a selection of those columns beginning with his first (October 4th, 1987) and last (July 29, 2014).
